PayPal.com Getting Sued Again!

I looks as though Paypal.com is getting sued again:)

Update: Attorneys from the law firm Freed &Weiss look into the class action law suit

I for one am all for it, I posted the problem that I had with paypal on 12/07/09 and it has not been any better.

Someone hacked my account and took $150.00 and PayPal took care of it.

That is where the good ends, here is the post that I did then “I got your password and I am going Christmas shopping”

Now it has been nearly 60 days and they still have a hold (limit) on my account!

* I have been on the phone with them, To fix the problem.

* I have received there security card that you have to enter a 6 digit security code that is on the card. (That is only good for 5 minutes then rotates to a new code, it is electronic and only lasts for 6 months or so.) That is after I entered a new password that I changed after what happened on 12/07/09 (click on above post).

* I entered about 5 new security questions and answers.

What did I get so far: Here is what I can do.

What can I do while my account access is limited?

  • place logos into your auction listings or on your website
  • update your account information
And here is what I’m not aloud to do:

What can’t I do while my account access is limited?

  • receive payments (There goes more money, Thank you PayPal)
  • send or request money
  • electronically transfer funds from your PayPal account
  • close your account( Why would I close it if you owe me money!)

Meanwhile I have accounts with money on hold to go in to paypal, as well as having money stuck in my paypal account.

So the all mighty PayPal.com is holding my money hostage.
I can understand security and sometimes we all take a few things for granted.
There are a few people over there with accounts that have completly had it and have 3 class action lawyers reviewing there case.
PayPal was successfully sued in 2002 and settled out of court in 2004  for 9.25 million dollars as well as having to pay 3.4 million in attorney fees, so it is not far fetched to say they are going to get sued and it does not look good on there part.
If you too are getting the run around from paypal there are a couple of things you can do about it.
* You can join the ranks of people piling in to letssuepaypal.com
* if you would like to make a complaint and have someone handle it for you   , go to screw-paypal.com (not a site for young eyes)

* Call Paypal legal relations @ 1-402-935-5145 (Melody Fry, PayPal Legal Relations / Legal Support Specialist)

* The President of PayPal is Scott Thompson, you can email him @ (thompson@paypal.com)

Sad, but– call PayPal at any number you can get and collect any and all numbers of accounts you have. Try to close them, if possible [not that it much matters...] Check your credit to see if any have landed somehow on your credit report in someway as default or whatnot…

Contact the bank [GEMB] and suggest they remove it. If they do not, contact BBB and fight fight fight. They will pay them off eventually but just do it.

Contact Office of Thrift Supervision with any and all info on GEMB, and GEMB will fix any of your credit.

Now, contact via telephone collection agency NCO. Check online for a legitimate site for a phone number (there are many, sorry do not have it on top of my head…). Request all accounts on paypal under any like names regarding any email accounts attached, etc. be CLOSED per your request. Then, ask where you would send a FOIA [Freedom of Information Act] request form to [address, that is]. The obvious next step is to ask them in writing to formally send any and all information about all accounts. Do the same for PayPal and the Bank behind your accounts.

Whatever does not match up, send to the Office of Thrift supervision. BTW, IF THEY TRY TO ‘FIX THE BOO BOO AND SEND YOU A CHECK’ DO NOT SIGN IT. TELL THE OTS, AS THAT IS AN ADMITTANCE OF FRAUD.

THANK YOU Have a GREAT falling to fall!
